Agroprosperis Bank actively continues the implementation of the Social and Environmental Policy, the main principles of which were approved in 2018.
This spring, bank representatives took part in the World Bank's educational event on environmental and social principles, which took place on April 16-18, 2024 in Chisinau, Moldova.
During the training, our colleagues got acquainted with the best international practices of environmental and social risk management during credit operations and visited local agricultural enterprises, where they had the opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge in practice.
The training was organized by the World Bank as part of the emergency project of providing inclusive support for the recovery of agriculture in Ukraine (ARISE). Thanks to the ARISE project, Ukrainian agricultural producers are able to receive preferential financing under the state program "Affordable loans 5-7-9%".
According to Serhiy Kozlov, a member of the bank's board, Agroprosperis Bank, which for many years has specialized in crediting farmers and actively participates in state support programs, is constantly working on optimizing credit processes and strengthening its own expertise in assessing the environmental and social aspects of the bank's borrowers: "Unique the knowledge and experience received from the World Bank specialists deepened our understanding of environmental and social principles, which will contribute to more effective lending, increasing the sustainability of our borrowers and restoring the agricultural economy of Ukraine. Special thanks to the Entrepreneurship Development Fund and World Bank consultants for organizing the training event," he added.
