The UIRD indices (Ukrainian Index of Retail Deposit Rates) represent the average interest rates on individual deposits, calculated based on data from twenty Ukrainian banks with the largest individual deposit portfolios.
When issuing business loans with a variable interest rate, the UIRD indices are used as the base rate. The loan interest rate is formed as the sum of the relevant UIRD index and the bank’s fixed margin. Thanks to this, the loan rate automatically adjusts to changes in market conditions throughout the entire loan term.
