From October 30 to November 6, the National Bank of Ukraine will conduct a nationwide financial literacy test.
This annual initiative is taking place for the third time and is traditionally timed to coincide with World Savings Day. Its goal is to help Ukrainians assess their own financial knowledge, identify areas for improvement, and make financial decisions with greater confidence.
The test can be taken for free on “Garazd,” an educational website dedicated to financial literacy. The test is open to anyone, though the questions are geared more toward an audience with experience using financial services (young people, adults, and seniors).
Andriy Pyshnyy, Governor of the National Bank, noted that over the years, this initiative has evolved from a pilot project into a long-standing tradition, confirming the growing demand for financial knowledge.
“Every year, more and more Ukrainians are taking the test, and this is a compelling indicator of our society’s maturity and responsibility. We see how financial literacy is becoming a conscious choice. Ukrainians understand that financial knowledge impacts their well-being and financial security. The test is not an exam but rather a practical tool for self-development, allowing people to test their knowledge risk-free so they can feel more confident and secure in real life,” said Andriy Pyshnyy.
How will this year’s test be conducted?
The test consists of 20 practical financial case studies covering topics such as budget planning, saving, using financial services, and protecting against payment fraud. It will take approximately 20 minutes to complete.
After completing the test, participants will be able to view their results and receive a selection of educational materials to deepen their financial knowledge.
In addition, participants will have the opportunity to join social media activities and enter a giveaway hosted by the National Bank and its partners. To do so, they need to share their test results on social media or participate in the TikTok challenge by posting a creative video.
Detailed terms and conditions for participating in the prize drawing are available here, and the terms for the TikTok challenge are available harazd.bank.gov.ua/uploads/0/828-instruktsiia_tiktok_chelendzh_tantsiui_testui_2026.pdf.
The All-Ukrainian Financial Literacy Test is part of the implementation of the National Strategy for the Development of Financial Literacy through 2030.
The test was launched by the National Bank in 2024 to mark the 100th anniversary of World Savings Day. In its first year, approximately 52,000 participants took part, and in 2025, more than 60,000 Ukrainians tested their knowledge by taking the test.
This year, more than 80 partners from various sectors—including government and financial institutions, youth and civic organizations, and businesses—will join the testing effort to help spread the word about the event and encourage Ukrainians to test their financial literacy.
